Maid Services If the Maid is an Indian national, the following procedures to be completed from Indian Consulate/Embassy for immigration clearance. The following forms to be taken to Indian Consulate after get visa issued from Immigration.

The following procedures do not require if the Maid is inside the UAE on Visit or Tourist Visa or in previous visa cancelled stage.

Consulate Procedure for Maid Visa

What are the procedures at Indian Consulate to bring Housemaid to Dubai/UAE?

 

If the Maid is an Indian national, the following procedures to be completed from Indian Consulate/Embassy for immigration clearance. The following forms to be taken to Indian Consulate after get visa issued from Immigration.

STEPS TO FOLLOW


1. Make No relation Certificate from Consulate (This is applicable only if the Maid is from same nationality of the Sponsor)
2. Prepare maid visa application from Typing Centre
3. Attach all the documents and submit at the Immigration

NOTE: The following procedures do not require if the Maid is inside the UAE on Visit or Tourist Visa or in previous visa cancelled stage.

After get visa issued, prepare Maid's Employment Contract both in Arabic and English from typing centre and get it attested from Notary Public. The Employment Contract should have legal translator's seal on it.
Documents required at Notary: Typed contract (3 copies), Passport and visa copies of maid and sponsor. Original visa of maid and original passport of the sponsor should be shown there. Notary will return two original copies of the contract. One copy for your file and second one only needs further attestations.

Then go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Karama) for Contract attestation (contract which was attested by Notary and Ministry of Justice). Fees at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• Prepare the below mentioned Consulate forms from typing centre

• Then go to IVS Global Services Private Limited, Business Atrium Building, Office No. 201, 202 on 2nd floor, Opposite Al Nasr Club, Oud Metha, Dubai (Near Prime Supermarket, next to big parking area) Tel: +971 4 357 9585, along with all documents and guarantor (with his original Passport). Nearest Metro Station: Oud Metha (Green Line).

• Get the documents attested from IVS and deposit there
• Attestation fees at IVS

NOTE: Handwritten forms will not be accepted

• Send the attested Contract and immigration clearance authorization form to the Maid in India for immigration clearance formalities.

• Maid or agent can submit the papers along with Insurance papers at the Protector of Immigrant's (POI) office and pay the insurance fees there. POI will put immigration clearance stamp on Maid's passport and she can fly legally. Travel agencies also arrange POI stamp if you handover the attested documents.

NOTE: If the Maid previously completed three years as house servant in the same gulf country, it is not necessary to get stamp of POI. But Consulate attested Employment Contract is must to show at the airport.



CONSULATE FORMS

• Application in the format prescribed (Annexure - I)-1 Copy

• Consulate permit form (in triplicate) (Annexure- II)

• Employment Contract (Annexure-III) (should be filled both in English and Arabic) which should be attested by Notary Public of Dubai Courts, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indian Consulate (IVS Global) and a photocopy thereof.

• Authorization for payment of Security deposit (in duplicate) (Annexure-IV)

• Undertaking by the Employer (Annexure –V)

• Undertaking /Guarantee from an Indian national (employed and not related to either the Sponsor or the Maid) (Annexure-VI).

• The guarantor cannot be a person employed in the capacity of Maid/ Servant/ Nanny etc. The guarantor is required to sign the Undertaking/Guarantee in the presence of the Labour Officer at IVS Global Services Limited.

• No Objection Certificate for Recruitment of Indian Housemaids (Annexure-VII) : To be filled (in quadruplicate) if Maid/Servant is residing in any part of Andhra Pradesh.
(Annexure – VII is not to be filled for Immigration Departments in other states).

• Original Employment Visa and two photocopies thereof.

• Passports of the Employer and the guarantor in original along with photocopy.

• Income/Salary certificate/ Original trade license and copy thereof. The monthly income of the sponsor should not be below Dh10,000.

• Photocopy of the passport of the housemaid.

• If the sponsor has/had Indian Maid working with him, he is required to give full details in the format. In case the sponsor has/ had got the visa for the previous Maid cancelled, a copy of the cancellation papers is also required.

NOTE:

• Deposit at Indian Consulate (IVS Global).
• Maid below 30 years is not allowed Emigration permit.
• Applicant’s personal presence is required at the time of application submission.
• Maid's minimum salary must be Dh1100 per month.
• A Mobile Phone with SIM Card to be provided to the Maid by the Employer.
• Return air ticket every year
• Nine hour working day


IF THE SPONSOR IS UAE NATIONAL

• All the above procedures to be completed except Indian Guarantor and form Annexure VI.

Conditions for Refund of Security Deposit

For refund of the Security Deposit, the following conditions will have to be fulfilled:

• The Female Household Service Worker (FHSW) should be brought in person to the Consulate General of India (between 1400-1600hrs) for Registration, along with the functional prepaid mobile phone provided to her, within two weeks of her arrival in UAE.

• If the FHSW is sent back to India without clearing her dues then no refund will be made.

• On termination of the employment contract at any time by mutual consent, the employer along with the FHSW should appear in person in the Consulate General of India and submit a written application for refund of the Security Deposit before the final departure of the FHSW to India. The FHSW should confirm in writing at the Consulate that all her dues have been settled.

• Should the FHSW complain of non-receipt of her dues or if the Consulate has to incur any expenditure on her accommodation, food, local transportation, medical treatment etc. and airfare to India, these expenses would be deducted from the Security Deposit and only the balance amount would be refunded.

What are the procedures at Indian Consulate to bring Housemaid to Dubai/UAE?

If the Maid is an Indian national, the following procedures to be completed from Indian Consulate/Embassy for immigration clearance. The following forms to be taken to Indian Consulate after get visa issued from Immigration.

Housemaid Affidavit
Question: How do I get a 'no - relationship' affidavit attested required for processing resident visa of a maid?


Answer:

• Personal presence of the applicant with his/her valid passport in original and photocopy (first / last and valid visa page).

• Housemaid should be above 30 years of age.

• Photocopies of the first and last page of the housemaid's passport.

Maid From Nepal
How to bring housemaid from Nepal

Nepalese women above 30 years of age are allowed to go to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar on housemaid visa.

• Sponsor's monthly salary should not be less than Dh6,000 or Dh5,000 plus accommodation.
• Sponsor should pay as an annual fee (every year to be repeated)
• The housemaid and the Sponsor/spouse should not be related
• The Sponsor should be a resident in the UAE living with his/her family

Documents required for Entry Visa application at Immigration

· Typed Entry Visa Permit application (Can be prepared from Typing Centre).

· Maid's passport copy + one photograph with white background.

· Passport copy of Sponsor and Spouse

· Employment/Labour Contract has to be attested from Immigration on payment. This can be done at the time of submitting visa application.

· If the sponsor is a Government/Semi-government/Free zone Employee, his/her Salary Certificate does not need attestation.

• If the sponsor is an Investor/Partner: Copy of the Contract showing his shareholding, Copy and original of the partners' financial security deposit, copy of the Trade License and Partners List.

· Copy of residence Tenancy Contract consisting of two bedrooms. It has to be attested through Ejari online system of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). If you are living out of Dubai, attach Municipality attested Tenancy Contract and Electricity Bill.

· Affidavit from the Consulate stating that the Maid is not related with the Sponsor and spouse. Separate Affidavit to be made for both Sponsor and spouse. (This is applicable only if the Maid is from same nationality of the Sponsor).

· If the Maid is inside the country, to be paid extra for Status Change.



Documents required at Nepal Embassy:

· Sponsor should have a minimum monthly salary of Dh10,000, excluding the cost of accommodation (Tenancy contact also has to be submitted). If salary is less than Dh10,000, he/she can enclose the salary certificate of the spouse also.

· Police Clearance Certificate proving absence of criminal record.

· Undertaking to provide monthly salary to housemaid.

· Refundable deposit to the embassy.

· Marriage certificate if sponsor is a male

· Total 14 documents have to be submitted for attestation at the embassy. For details log on: www.nepalembassyuae.org

• After the attestation, the contract and a copy of the visa attested (originals) will have to be sent by the sponsor to the employee in Nepal to apply for obtaining Foreign Employment Permit from the Department of Foreign Employment, Kathmandu.

• If all the documents are ready, it will normally take a day to complete the attestation procedure at the Embassy.


Refund of Security Deposit:

If you have decided to cancel the visa of your domestic employee for whatsoever reason (you wanted to terminate her visa or your employee didn't come back to you after her vacation or your employee refused to come after you deposited security amount to the Embassy), contact the Embassy for the refund of the security deposit by completing the following procedures/documentary requirements:

(i) Ask the employee to call the Embassy during the working hours or send us an email mentioning her contact number before she is sent back to Nepal (applicable only if your employee is still with you in the UAE);

(ii) Submit a written request to the Embassy stating the reason of repatriation of your employee to Nepal with the following documents/proofs:
1.Cancellation of visa
2.Copy of air ticket to Nepal
3.Exit paper or exit stamp, and
4.Original receipt given by the Embassy at the time you deposited the money.

The Employer may also send his/her authorized representative with the said documents to collect the security deposit. Security deposit will be refunded on the same day if all the requirements are fulfilled. However, in case the Employee is not in the UAE, the Embassy requires at least seven working days to refund the money.

Maid From Sri Lanka

How can I bring housemaid from Sri Lanka?

 

An expatriate can sponsor a housemaid if the following conditions are met:


• Sponsor's monthly salary should not be less than Dh6,000 or Dh5,000 plus accommodation.

• Sponsor should pay annual fee (every year to be repeated)

• The housemaid and the Sponsor/spouse should not be related

• The Sponsor should be a resident in the UAE living with his/her family



Documents required for Entry Visa application at Immigration

· Typed Entry Visa Permit application (Can be prepared from Typing Centre).

· Maid's passport copy + one photograph with white background.

· Passport copy of Sponsor and Spouse

· Employment/Labour Contract has to be attested from Immigration on payment. This can be done at the time of submitting visa application.

• If the sponsor is a Government/Semi-government/Free zone Employee, his/her Salary Certificate does not need attestation.
• If the sponsor is an Investor/Partner: Copy of the Contract showing his shareholding, Copy and original of the partners' financial security deposit, copy of the Trade License and Partners List.

In this case no need Sri Lanka Consulate related procedures after get issued the visa. But No Relation Certificate from Consulate is must if the Maid is from same nationality of the Sponsor. This certificate is required at the time of applying for entry visa.




NOTE: Maid's Visa will be issued same time at the counter if the requirements are completed.
Labour Contract (3 copies) will be issued along with the Maid Visa and that has to be signed by both the sponsor and Maid at the time of stamping her visa. Immigration employee will ask the salary of Maid at the time of issuing visa to enter the amount in the Labour Contract.

• Minimum Salary for Sri Lankan Housemaid: Dh825

• Working hours of the maid should not exceed 12 hours per day

• Air ticket from Sri Lanka to UAE at the time of joining and return after completion of the contract.

• Maid Visa is valid for one year: if the sponsor is an expatriate

• Maid Visa is valid for two years: if the sponsor is UAE National

• After getting issued Maid Visa from Immigration, the following procedures to be completed at Sri Lankan Consulate / Embassy.


Documents required at Sri Lankan Consulate / Embassy

· Sponsor's passport copy.

· Domestic Worker's passport copy.

· Duly filled Contract Form with the sponsor's signature.

· Original visa and two photocopies thereof.

· Deposit by the sponsor for domestic female workers only. This deposit is refundable on termination of the contract of the maid subject to conditions mentioned in the contract.


Documents required for Refund of Security Deposit:

You need to approach the Consulate/Embassy only after departure of the Maid

· Application for refund of Security Deposit

· Copy of the passport with departure stamp

· Copy of the Employment Contract

· Original Cash Receipt

· Visa cancellation receipt issued from Immigration

· Copy of the return Air ticket

· A letter from the employee saying that no dues from the employer (No claim certificate). This letter you have to get signed before the exit of Housemaid.
